Small handyman jobs can usually be estimated quickly from photos over text. For larger remodeling projects (kitchens, bathrooms, basements), we start with a brief photo review or phone call to understand your goals, followed by an in-person site walkthrough to take measurements and discuss materials before providing a detailed, written estimate.
Are your starting prices on remodeling projects fixed?
The prices listed on our site are typical starting ranges for standard Northwest Suburbs homes. Final pricing depends on your space's size, layout changes, electrical or plumbing adjustments, and material selections (cabinets, tile, fixtures).

How does the "Text Photos" estimate process work?
Take 3 to 5 clear photos of the area that needs repair or installation, text them to 224-384-8939, and include a short note on what you'd like done. In most cases, we can text back an accurate estimate within minutes.
Is there a fee for getting an estimate?
No. Photo estimates and initial project consultations are completely free with no obligation.
Are there any hidden fees or extra charges?
Never. We provide clear, itemized quotes before any work begins. If an unforeseen issue arises during a job (such as hidden water rot inside a wall), we stop, show you the issue, and agree on any extra cost before proceeding.

Do you handle small jobs, or only larger projects?
No job is too small! We frequently help homeowners with single-outlet replacements, door adjustments, TV mounts, and small drywall patches alongside our full room remodels.
Who will actually be performing the work in my home?
Art, the owner and operator of Syncpoint, performs or directly supervises all work. You won't be handed off to sub-contractors or revolving crews.
How do you protect my home during work?
We lay down protective floor runners, cover surrounding furniture with plastic, mask off work areas to contain dust, and clean up thoroughly at the end of every work day.

Which towns and suburbs do you serve?
We are based in Schaumburg and serve the entire Chicago Northwest Suburbs, including Palatine, Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, Des Plaines, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Barrington, and surrounding communities.
Do you offer weekend or same-day appointments?
Yes! Same-day slots for small emergency fixes are often available, and we regularly schedule work on Saturdays. Sunday appointments are available upon request.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, cash, checks, and direct digital transfers. Invoices and receipts are provided electronically for every job.

Do I need to buy the materials myself, or do you supply them?
We can handle both! We can pick up and supply standard construction materials (drywall, lumber, paint, rough plumbing/electrical parts), or install fixtures, vanities, tiles, and appliances that you have purchased yourself.
What happens if something breaks or isn't right after you leave?
Every job is backed by direct personal accountability. If an issue arises with our workmanship after completion, call or text us immediately and we will return to make it right.
How long does a typical handyman visit take?
Most single handyman tasks (like TV mounting, ceiling fan installs, or minor repairs) take between 1 and 3 hours. We can often check off multiple items on a to-do list in a single half-day visit.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, Syncpoint is fully registered and insured for residential remodeling and handyman operations in Illinois.
